Youtube videos

On October 21st 2014 the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that embedding, that is the practice of publishing a video owned by third parties on one's website or blog or web page without authorization, but through its own code, does not constitute a copyright infringement. According to the judges, in fact, the circulation of a video of others already published because the owner has made it accessible from another website, does not in itself constitute a new or different communication to the public under the EU directive 2001/29/CE on copyright, provided that it is not modified. This is because the author himself, in making the content public, has decided to disclose it and therefore to make it accessible to anyone
